About ClimaSolar

Who is ClimaSolar?

ClimaSolar is an Australian-founded solar company, established in 2017. Our team has installed over 200,000 solar panels for homeowners across Australia, and we're now bringing the same standards, equipment and service to Dubai with a local team.

Which areas do you install in?

We currently install across Dubai, including the World Islands. We're expanding to more emirates soon, so if you're outside Dubai, get in touch and we'll let you know when we can help.

Do you handle the DEWA paperwork?

Yes. We manage the full Shams Dubai process for you, from preparing and submitting your application and design to arranging DEWA's inspection and smart meter. You just sign the forms we prepare.

Cost & finance

How much does solar cost for a villa in Dubai?

Every home is different, so the price depends on your system size, roof and energy use. We design your system around your DEWA bill and give you a clear, fixed quote with no hidden extras. Your free assessment includes your exact price and payment options.

How do AED 0 upfront and 0% finance work?

Instead of paying for your system in one go, you can spread the cost with AED 0 upfront and 0% finance, so you start saving without a large outlay. Finance is subject to eligibility and approval, and we'll explain your options in your free consultation.

What is the Bill Match program?

Bill Match is our approach to making solar easy to afford. We aim to align your system repayments with what you already spend on electricity, so switching to solar has minimal impact on your monthly budget.

When do I start paying?

Nothing is payable until your installation is complete. There's no deposit to get your design, approvals and installation underway.

Are there government solar rebates in Dubai?

Dubai doesn't offer direct cash rebates for home solar. Instead, DEWA's Shams Dubai programme lets you connect to the grid and earn credits for the extra power you produce, which, combined with Dubai's strong sunshine and tiered tariffs, is what makes solar pay off.

Savings & Shams Dubai

How much could I save on my DEWA bill?

It depends on your usage, roof and system size. DEWA charges more per unit as your monthly usage rises (from 23 up to 38 fils per kWh), so homes with big summer AC bills often save the most, because solar removes the most expensive units first. Your free quote includes a personalised savings estimate.

How does Shams Dubai net metering work?

Shams Dubai is DEWA's programme for connecting rooftop solar to the grid. Your home uses your solar power first, any surplus flows to the grid through a two-way smart meter, and DEWA credits it to your account to offset future bills.

What happens to the solar power I don't use?

It's credited to your DEWA account and carries forward to future bills, such as at night or in peak summer. Credits are used against your bills rather than paid out as cash, which is why we size your system to match your usage.

How long does solar take to pay for itself?

Most Dubai home systems pay for themselves in around 5–8 years, depending on system size and usage. Quality panels keep producing for 25+ years, so you can enjoy many years of savings after that.

Is my home suitable?

Can I get solar on a villa, townhouse or apartment?

Villas and townhouses are usually a great fit. Apartments generally can't install individual systems, as rooftop solar on a building is managed by the building owner.

I rent my villa. Can I still go solar?

Yes, with your landlord's written approval. The owner's consent is needed for the developer and DEWA applications, and we're happy to explain how it works to you and your landlord.

Do I need approval from my developer or community?

In most villa communities, yes. You'll usually need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your master developer or community management. We handle this for you alongside your DEWA application.

What if my roof is flat or partly shaded?

Flat roofs are common in Dubai and work well, as panels are mounted on frames at the right angle. Shade from trees, parapets or neighbouring buildings is checked during your site survey, and we design the layout to get the most out of your roof.

Installation & process

How long does the whole process take?

From your free quote to switch-on can take as little as 6 weeks. Most of that time is the developer and DEWA approvals, which we manage and follow up for you. See our process for each step.

What happens on installation day?

Our certified team installs your mounting, panels, inverter and wiring, then tests the full system, all in one day. We leave your property clean and tidy, then arrange DEWA's inspection and smart meter for switch-on.

Do I need to be home?

No. As long as our team can access the property and roof, you don't need to be there. If you'd like to be home, we'll happily walk you through your system at the end of the day.

Will my power be switched off?

Only briefly. Your power may be off for around an hour while we connect the inverter to your electrical board.

Equipment & performance

Do solar panels work in 45°C+ heat?

Yes. Panels lose a little efficiency in extreme heat, but Dubai's strong, year-round sunshine more than makes up for it. We use Tier-1 panels and components chosen to perform in high temperatures.

What about dust and sand? Do panels need cleaning?

Dust lowers output for a while but doesn't damage quality panels. Occasional cleaning keeps your system producing at its best, and we'll advise on the right cleaning routine for your home.

Do I need a battery? Can I add one later?

A battery isn't needed for Shams Dubai net metering. It's an optional extra that stores solar power for backup during outages. In most cases you can add one later, so let us know at your consultation and we'll design your system with that in mind.

Is there a limit on how big my system can be?

Yes. DEWA caps system size based on your property's connected electrical load, and only rooftop or building-mounted systems are eligible. We check this for you and size your system to your actual usage.

Aftercare & warranties

What warranties do I get?

Your system comes with a 30-year panel performance warranty, a 10-year inverter warranty and a 15-year installation workmanship warranty. We'll go through the full details with your proposal.

Who do I contact if something goes wrong?

Our Dubai-based team, by WhatsApp or phone on +971 55 311 8862. If anything is covered by warranty, we deal with the manufacturer for you.
